A Mediterranean diet includes a simple plant based cooking, considerably low amount of meat and usage of olive oil. Researchers say that the Mediterranean diet is being studied extensively to deduce its relation to cognitive function. They also say that by adhering highly to a Mediterranean diet reduces the chance of Alzheimer’s disease and mild cognitive impairment. The research also suggests that the risk of cognitive impairment and Alzheimer’s can be reduced by maintaining a proper weight, diet, hypertension, diabetes, dyslipidemia and a healthy cholesterol level. The negative recommendations were quite simple, reduce or neglect the usage of dietary supplements like vitamin B, vitamin E, ginkgo, Omega-3 and antioxidants.
